The gift of a simple toothbrush

May 01, 2021 1 min read

Yesterday it was raining. It wasn't cold but it was wet and people were huddled in doorways of a building in a public park. They were people who had no where else to go and had everything they owned with them. When Toof was founded we were inspired by an article written by a nun who wrote about the simple gift of a toothbrush and how it was more about the giving, and caring, than what was given. I was fortunate that I had Toof brushes to give and I handed them out to everyone that was there. They all needed them and I could sense both gratitude and caution - what was the catch?  Once they realized there was no catch, it was just a simple gift, they smiled and thanked me and for that we are grateful.
